Meal Planning and Weekly Cooking
A hands-on program built around real kitchen situations — not abstract theory. Each session gives you something you can use at your next meal.
What the Course Covers
-
Week One: Planning Before Shopping
How to look at a week and decide what to cook, what to prep, and what to leave flexible. We build a sample plan together and discuss where most plans fall apart.
-
Week Two: The Batch Cook Session
A hands-on cooking session focused on preparing components rather than finished dishes. Grains, roasted vegetables, a protein, and a versatile dressing.
-
Week Three: Assembly and Adaptation
Using what was prepped to build five different meals. We cover how to shift flavour profiles so the same base ingredients do not taste identical three days running.
-
Week Four: Troubleshooting and Habits
What goes wrong with weekly cooking plans and how to adjust. Each participant leaves with a personalised outline for their own weekly rhythm.

About this program
Cooking every night from scratch is not realistic for most people. This course is built around that fact rather than ignoring it.
The focus is on a weekly rhythm: one or two longer cooking sessions that set you up for the rest of the week. You will learn which foods hold well, which do not, and how to build meals that stay good on day three without tasting like leftovers.
Thandi, one of our regular participants, described it as learning to think like a cook rather than just following recipes. That is a fair description. The goal is to make decisions more quickly and with less stress, not to produce restaurant-level food every Tuesday.
This course suits people who already know their way around a kitchen but feel like they are always starting from scratch and running out of ideas mid-week.- Weekly meal planning that accounts for real schedules
- Batch cooking grains, legumes, and roasted vegetables
- Flexible base recipes that work across multiple meals
- Storage, labelling, and knowing what to use first
- Quick assembly meals for low-energy evenings
The sessions are conversational. People bring their actual weekly constraints — work schedules, family preferences, budget limits — and we work with those rather than around them.
